The people who you used to talk to who you think you see sat behind you
Who might as well never be there
Everyone is most beautiful on the bus

Seeking comfort in the uncomfortable spaces
Packed tightly sardinically, and warmly
Everyone staring
Everyone avoiding eyes
Taking off hats
Unzipping jackets
Everyone's hair frizzy
We're all listening to the same music
Until you try to get off
