Where the Fuck is this bus. Many have driven by
My hands are red and bitten
Typing with one smiley-faced thumb
While grinding my teeth into dust and
Blasting car seat headrest
I wish it was
Bus seat backrest
The 2 never comes
Until you are on it and then it's
as if the wait never happened
And you don't mind the med center detour or
The people who you used to talk to who you think you see sat behind you
Who might as well never be there
Everyone is most beautiful on the bus
Everyone is sexy,
Seeking comfort in the uncomfortable spaces
Packed tightly sardinically, and warmly
Everyone staring
Everyone avoiding eyes
Taking off hats
Unzipping jackets
Everyone's hair frizzy
We're all listening to the same music
Until you try to get off

It's Fuzzy (List Poem)
Cooperstown instead of Maine, &
the Baseball Hall of Fame,
no hugging,
no touching,
walkie-talkie sexting.
Don't you remember everything?
The cop lights and "curfews,"
Hallelujahs and belt loops,
The near snapping,
and shattering,
of the basement window I crawled through.
Don't you remember everything?
The breakups (three)
The birthday
(seventeen)
The (one) spot I'd take you,
Despite its history.
The heat most of all, but the rain too,
on the night
that my bike, through
my neglect,
out the window,
didn't lock it up,
and I insisted to us,
that it would be alright.
Oddments
what is are oddments
oddments is are strewn about in your brain and mine
and you can fish them out if you want and you can make a blog about them
Blogments~!
It's also Oddments (2014) by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
their best album because it's their worst, they just threw that shit at the wall and it stuck.
Really I just wanted to make a post explaining the name of the blog- It's because this is my Oddments (2014), it is are the wall and I hope something sticks.
More music to come soon I think. In the meantime listen to Waterloo Sunset by the Kinks

i contain platitudes
the sopranos "you're going to hell when you die" well what can we do about it surely there must be something i can do about it?
rlly delighted they brought that back as and now hell is irish
I contain platitudes
I contain platitudes and my platitudes contain me
Strip me down of all my parts and you'll find cliches remaining
i contain platitudes/ i'm every one you've seen
i was born early and I'll die early it no difference to me
this horse i'm beating's been down so long
it's sprouting some low-hanging fruit
isolated in the digital age it's as common as it seems

Creating, Becoming & Vegetables
In Lex Walton's THE SOUND ROCKER'S PRAYER she says a lot of well-thought bullshit that I meditate on. Mostly she talks about creating music, something that I aspire to do, but I think its thoughts are more widely applicable.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT: being "cool," being "uncool," having "no influences."
THIS IS ABOUT: the things we love.
This is about the things I love. I think I've spent too much time consuming and not enough time creating. Creating is a sacred thing, that's why I'm doing this blog really. I'm trying to get more comfortable with creating things that are embarrassing, revealing, etc. and just do the act. How am I gonna make something not embarrassing if I don't embarrass myself a million times?
not everything needs to matter that much
That all being said here's a song I wrote about vegetables
there is no way to make the video not a short
Geography of Messes
I take a lot of pics with my digicam (you know that)
Typically faces or parties or nature sometimes but I secretly love taking photos of messes. I'd upload a plethora but the formatting on blogspot is horrendous, it's basically just google docs.
It's literally just a still life, that's part of why it appeals to me so much, but also that it is a great way of illustrating comfort, discomfort, intention and unintention (lack of intention?) I think it's neat where things will end up when we get drunk and care less, or when a mess becomes too uncomfortable to coexist with.
A mess lives, grows, dies, and it's neat to see that lifespan because it differs from place to place. A mess in my room has a lifespan tenfold of one that lives in a common space, a mess's composition dictates how it is handled, the speed at which it's disposed of. Beer tour is its own social
institution.
Who cares? Me, it's my blog.
